My waiting is over the Quantum has arrived, I am always worried that it will arrive in pieces or it will get lost in the post, anyway worry over here it is.

Westone Quantum (1985) S/N 505132

It has the same hardware as my Super Headless which will come in handy for finding the screw sizes for the metal plate that fits over the strings at the tuning end.

I gather the bolts in question will be a metric measurement, I don't have the equipment to measure the bolts accurately, but if you come up with anything give us a shout, it would be very much appreciated.

By the way, my Quantum is so nice  , my new knock around, I have always liked that about old Westone's, they are just so well built, I can see them lasting longer than me.

Agreed, the Quantum is extremely well-balanced. If I ever played a gig as a bass player I imagine playing the Quantum for hours and not getting tired, as light as it is.

I still need to rearrange some things before I can get to mine, but I'll measure the screws when I get to it.

As you see, it's missing the thumb rest. But what a great instrument!

That thumb rest has been added to your Quantum, a lot of bassists use them, I always remove them from my basses if they have them.
