I bought my first bass in October, 1984 after working all summer. I never thought I would lose it, but I did. In '92 my ex-wife took it to a pawn shop in Tupelo,MS and sold it without me knowing. She gave me the receipt after I got home from work that night. It was near the holidays and having 2 kids, I didn't have the money to go back and get it. I now own several other basses but miss how my Electra played. My hopes of finding another one have been raised since finding this site today. Thanks for all of the great info.

He told me about it. I'm looking at getting it. Hopefully, it will be mine by this weekend.

THe fretless neck is really nice to play. Almost makes me feel like I can play bass!

Hmm my fretless is not easy what with trying to keep pitch and the strings stripping my caluses (sp?) when I can't resist doing lots of slides. What is your secret x189? :D

I got the bass mcbrat was selling. Man, I forgot how great they sound. I have hardly put it down all week. I've decided to start collecting these fine basses.

the major difference is the pickups. I only had one westone with that type of pickup (Magnabass) and it was like this...
http://www.westone.info/dynastybass.html

and I really liked the sound it had
