Hi I'm new here and I have been searching for info on the flying wedge model. I've searched google and e-bay to no avail. The only thing I have found is the pic on the model page of this site. Anyone have any info on these or have one themselves? How rare are they? Thanks!

I have a couple of them- well, one Electra, and a couple of very similar ones of other brands including Aria Pro and Greco.

How rare? They show up a couple times a year. Scarce is probably the right word- not rare enough to be more valuable, but enough that you don't see a lot of them. (Vantage FV625's, by contrast, show up pretty often).

What else do you want to know? They're bolt-neck, mahogany, pretty nice. Are they better than modern Epiphones? Hard to say. Given that you can get a modern Gibson faded Vee for under $499, I'm not sure I'd say it's the best playing value for the price- but it's not all about objective value either. I love my Electra Vee :)
