I bought this guitar on eBay a year or so ago for $270. It is the most beautiful Les Paul guitar I have ever seen. the finish is top-notch all around, the neck is amazingly playable, and the fretboard is easy on bends and fast picking/rythm runs. I am very proud to own a guitar that is vintage all the way, playable, and -to me at least- is a great one from the 70s; a time when the bigwigs -gibson, fender, and even gretsch- where either stumbling or pumping out sub-par instruments.

All I know is that it has the open-book headstock; does that guarantee it is a pre-1975 model? The Electra logo plate is funky and antiquated (in comparison to the elegant Electra logos I have seen post-1976) and the tunning machines have the ultra-thin pegs that were common in amateur japanese guitars from the early 70s, before the copy-craze started.

Besides my interest in vintage guitars I am a big fan of japanese anime. I must be one of those few people in the world who would go to the lenghs of buying a real-deal vintage instrument because #1: it qualified as a Japanese-made antique and #2: it resembles the guitar of a character in a Japanese animated TV series. It's true! not only can I be that obsesive a fan, but also fixated on marrying my diverse interests -Vintage guitar collecting and Anime-.
Although this guitar resembles Jimmy Page's 59' Les Paul it never crossed my mind I would be aquiring a Zep-related replica.
