I found this site tonight and am excited to be a member. I have a Walnut Workingman, I just found that out tonight from this site. My wife was looking for a guitar for me to donate to a good cause, something to do with music for children. I had the choice of a Sae Hon electric acoustic and what I thought was an old Kay guitar. When I dug it out of the closet I found it was an Elecktra. This site helped me identify it.
My main guitar is a new Fender Standard Stratocaster, but I used to play my Workingman a lot. A friend of mine had a 56 Les Paul and the humbuckers on my Elecktra were as hot as if not hotter than his, and my guitar stayed in tune. I got it out today and it was still in tune.
Living in St. Louis just makes it better to find what a little gem I have. I will post pictures but most of you already know what it looks like.
Other guitars
Epiphone Special Hard Rock Cafe Electric
Ovation Celebrity 12 String
Fret Lite
Martin DX1
Ibanez Electric
Peavey P Bass
Amps
Peavey Deuce II
Peavey Backstage 50
Fender GDec

Thanks for the kind welcome. I saw Clapton a couple of years ago and he just seems to get better. I cut my guitar teeth on Disraeli Gears on a cheap wooden six string and a Silvertone hollow body electric with their equivalent of a Bigsby.
One can't try to copy Clapton but just gain inspiration.

From about the same era, I always rated Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer better than Eric because they innovated inside the blues format!
Lots of peeps have got into Clapton since "Unplugged" and don't realise that before that he was "Unhinged" and as fiery as hell'!! Blind Faith was his Zenith AFAIC and I still give "Can't find my way home" a nudge of an evening - brilliant! :D

Blind Faith!

CFMWH!!!!!

Learned how to play that on an old Teisco Del Ray (with 4 pickups no less);

A bit of overkill for a first electric guitar that was virtually unplayable with action so high that no amount of adjusting helped at all ..........

Still play CFMWH today as well, but thankfully not on that Teisco Del Ray.

You are there man!

I see you are from St. Louis; I went to high school in Pacific.
