A search at Harmony Central will reveal that there are several other musical instrument reviews which are listed with Electra as the manufacturer:

http://reviews.harmony-central.com/revi ... nd/Electra

I recently listed this review under St Louis Music:

Great info, thanks. I got a good bit of insite into some of the models I've only read about. The reviews on the two I have were pretty close to what I've got. I've wanted an Avenger (cream) for about 20 years now and the review on it reminds me why.
Just for the heck of it
I went to Google Maps and entered,

1400 Ferguson Ave.
St. Louis Mo. 63133

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 7&t=h&z=18

Location list this as the site for Alverez-Yairi Guitars, Crate Pro Audio and St. Louis Music Co.

Thought It was cool...

I checked out the site and they will be head quarted in the same building. The catalog is on line. I found some pretty cool stuff in there. Straps, Stands and some realy neat pick holders. Has anyone ever contacted them directly to see if or how they handle the warrenty on Electras? I have seen other companys warrenty products they no longer sell or make in different ways.

Wonder if they would host Electrafest?

Just wanted to say thanks again for turning me on to review at Harmony Central. I've used it about 20 times now checking out stuff I saw on Ebay, Fender, Gibson and even checked out some Austin models that looked pretty cool. And the amp review was good too.

Yeah, I've wasted a few hundred hours looking at the reviews on Harmony Central, they can be useful and entertaining. However I've found that like 80% of the reviews fall into two catagories: 1) People who are rabid fans and will never say anything even remotely negative about the item, and 2) People who have a chip on their shoulder and are trying their darndest to give the item the worst review ever. The remaining 20% are users who give a realistic balanced review of the item. I guess that is to be expected though, if you're going to take the time to write a review, more than likely the item either really impressed you, or you feel like you were taken and you want to 'pay back' the maker.

You can usually see these 'slanted' reviews pretty quickly though (all 10's or all zeros). Like I said they can be fairly entertaining, always makes me chuckle when I see a single pickup guitar getting a '10' in the 'Features' catagory, I mean by definition a single pickup axe doesn't have many features, does it? Another one that cracked me up was this guy reviewing his 'EVH' charvel (I own a few Charvels, so I peruse the reviews) and every Catagory was given a 10 rating, but then you read his review and find out that he had changed basically everything out but the wood (pickup, tuners, locking nut even changed the fret wire) and I'm thinking to myself 'if it is such a great axe, why did you change so much stuff?'.

Anyway read between the lines of the 'Glowing' or even the terrible reviews, some of these characters may not be so impartial or honest. Cheers, Mike.

Yes I know what you mean. I did get some good vibes from most, rating anywhere from 5 to 9. But as you said some are funny, like the one I saw on an Austin Strat copy. The guy starts off, a strat copy is a strat copy and they all have the same thing, 21 frets, tuners, ect. then said he bought it to part out but jammed with it and said it is a good guitar and sounded good before he riped it up and gutted it.........Go figure. But I like the site just the same. I read the reviews on my Yamaha Amp and most of the pros and cons were right on track.
