If it is in good shape it would hard for it not to be worth $100. What makes you say it is Matsumoku made? They get pretty good reviews over at Harmony Central.

Most Cortez guitars are pretty good. A buddy of mine had a "gold top" one growing up and upgraded the pickups and probably the keys, and gigged with it a long time. It was a lot like the bolt neck LP copies from Electra, Aria, Univox, and others of that time frame. Early ones are Japanese, later they turned into Cort and Korean. I don't know that any of them are Matsumoku or not. Some look like they could be but to my knowledge they are not. However, it does not mean that they are not good - they need to be judged on their own merit. If it is a well-made Japanese guitar it certainly is worth $100.
