Did all of the early 2200 (open book) series have 3 piece necks? The 2252 I have has a 3 piece neck but I read this could be an indicator of where it was built - I know the Gibson guitars they were copying had 3 piece necks in the 70's as well

I don't consider myself knowledgeable enough to say personally, the 2256 I just bought does in fact have a three piece neck, I know JD has a few and Dave_G has a truckload if you could get him to chime in on things.

It seems that the majority of the 2200's are 3-piece, however...my 2247 is a 1-piece, and my 2242 is a 2-piece. So, I'm gonna assume that the later productions are all 3-piece. To kick that all in the head, my 2246 is a 3-piece. Dave will know for sure.
