Hey Guys, new here and just picked up a 1974 2245. Looking for a creme pickup ring for the neck pick up.
The Gibson rings are too narrow across the body.

Thanks
Dave

Welcome aboard. I'm surprised to hear the Gibsons don't fit. I don't recall having a problem with aftermarket rings before. Maybe someone else can shed some more light on that. Those 2245's sure are pretty. Thanks for the picture.

Thanks, picked it up from the 2nd owner who owned it for 31 years. When I unpacked it the neck ring was cracked. Doesn't effect how it plays but I would rather replace it.

yeah, some of the early ones had wider rings, making it near impossible to get one unless it's from a part-out...

I ended up having to make my own rings for an Electra EB2D bass copy I have...

You might try this site - but personally I have not used it -

http://www.rivercityamps.com/electraforum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6182#p32505

Maybe take some measurements of the old one to see if one might match here.

Nice link, RCS. The product descriptions do indeed include detailed measurement information when you select one of the choices there.

Hope you can find what you are needing there, shadowman1...

I found that site the other day but I haven't brought home my mic to get an exact measurement on the size yet.
Thanks for the link and the comps.

Follow up post. I found a pick up ring to fit at M I J Guitar parts. It was a tiny bit smaller but not enough to notice.
