When I was a kid in high school, I worked a summer job and earned enough $$ to pay for 1/2 a guitar. My folks kicked in the other 1/2, for my birthday, and I bought the guitar I had been dreaming of in the local music store...

An Electra Phoenix 175 SSS (black).

I loved that guitar! I played it for years, and took it to college at Ga. Tech. I stuck a big yellow "T" sticker on it below the bridge and played it in the Ga Tech basketball pep band sometimes.

Around 1991-1992, someone stole it from the music building on campus.

I stumbled across this forum tonight, and figured I'd throw a hail-mary...

Welcome to the forums and I will also keep an eye out for it. The Electrafest event(annual gathering of Electra Fans and players) is fast approaching (July 20-21 2013) and will be held at my home just down the road in Tifton, Ga. I invite you to come down and enjoy all of the various Electra and Westone Models that will be available to play and inspect. Will be a fun weekend for all. My collection will be available as well as the instruments the other attendees may bring and I hope we should have around 125+ available. These Phoenix's are so consistent, put a GT sticker on there, and you may not even notice a difference! Sorry to hear about your loss, but its good to know they can still be found. Personally, I like the X130's with the Humbuckers and a single coil switch, best of both worlds. Good luck.
