Received the proendorser purchased a couple weeks ago...Was not a neck reset but a repair and sure enough there is a slight alignment/fret level problem where neck is attached.....the damage was on the body side of the neck joint and has a fine crack in the body that ran from that joint to part of the front binding trim..the trim is cracked in a couple places but none of this is highly visible after repair. What looked like wood showing on the back of the neck was a gob of some type of filler/urethane or something...wasn't bondo or any filler material i recognize..i carefully cleaned the entire area with #600 sandpaper and then cleaned again with #2000 microfine...there were several areas on the guitar that had smudges/prints with this filler were it was handled during repair....all is cleaned and buffed back to original using medium compound. Looks like the initial repair was done with super glue..anyway..seems to be solid repair....there was a very slight raise in the fretboard where it meets the body and the big E top was fretting out 15/16...I resurfaced the last 1/3 of the fretboard concentrating more in that area an was able to lower the action a great deal more without buzz...could use a littlle more but dont want to do too much too fast...Truss rod appears to be working (that was my biggest fear). I reversed the bridge pickup & ring back to factory position, lubed all controls (deoxit f5), tightened tuning pegs and....playing better now and lower action. I will do more as time permits but for now I'm on to the next one

Buyer beware on ebay check this out:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=201036817726&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
He didnt even mention the gouge on the top. I missed it the first time looking though the pictures, then I messaged him about adding that to the description he stated I should just move on. I would be very disappointed if I didn't see that and got the guitar.

I've started treating eBay as a project guitar dumping depot. Meaning I assume every guitar being sold is boogered in some way and my purchase price has to reflect that. The last guitar I bought had a broken neck at the headstock that the scumbag just pretended not to know anything about, and it wasn't a new break. I've received guitars with separated fretboards & Les Paul type guitars with the tops coming of as well as a host of electrical issues that are not disclosed. If I'm getting a good deal, I can live with it because I can do most repairs. But it's just so bad that eBay has such a large chunk of scumbags...it makes you look at it differently and that's a shame for the honest sellers.

In 40 years of guitar buying and selling, I've never misrepresented a guitar, and we're easily talking 300 guitars sold. So I really have no time for low lifes that do.

Yea..I was disappointed in the description but took a shot at it and was wounded...turned out ok but thats all i can say about it...Ive bought several from ebay with about 70% being acceptable but it has gotten so bad in the last year that u guys are right..buy em only as projects now..bought one not too long ago and neck was previously broken/repaired and broke again in shipping in same place...i returned it but it was bs from the beginning...i do some repairs and sell but i show it all/tell it all...I am straight up and was raised on a handshake or my word but i just have to tolerate (with a smile) the world of today....then i go screammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
