Well, it's actually a Westone Spectrum, but you'll see.

Been wanting to make a reverse headstock Phoenix for a while now. Finding that neck is the tough part! I love the maple Phoenix necks.
So I had to settle for a Westone Spectrum LX neck instead. It should arrive Monday, ready to be cannibalized.

Ever wonder what a reverse headstock Phoenix/Spectrum would look like? Here's a rough mock up...

I may slap the lefty neck on the Red Burst '84 Phoenix I have, not sure yet. Thoughts?

I like it... sort of!

All of the reverse headstocks I've ever seen have been canted back heaps, too, and as a design feature I have reservations simply because of ease of tuning on the fly...

I say tear into it!!

Awesome! Sounds like you think like I do: I'm always looking at pictures and thinking "I could put this part with that piece, and then add a different ...."

Lately I've been waxing nostalgic about a Kramer Focus I had back in the 80s. Partly because I found out that they too were made by Matsomoku! mine was white, with black pick guard, humbucker with coil split, plus two single coils. Also had a locking Floyd Rose. It also had the pre-melted-Hershey-bar neck, which I liked the style of much better.

At some point I gave it to my brother, and I'm not sure what happened to it after that.

Anyway, lately I find myself looking at Kramers, plus bodies and necks, on eBay.
