Hello All!

I finally got my Christmas present! It spent a week stuck in Colorado due to a winter storm. But it finally arrived. My wife bought me A Dynasty Bass :hyper: No, I don't play bass, but I don't play my 6-string Dynasty much either. Here it is next to my 6-stringer.

I was a bit surprised when I put the 2 side by side. I had expected the bass to simply use the 6-string body with minimal alterations. Seems I was very wrong! The bass is slightly larger in all dimensions. And the shape is slightly different. You can see the bass has a flat piece right behind the bridge.

Arrived in great condition! Very few dings or scratches. Don't really know if it sounds "good"... but it certainly has a mellow thump to it. Guess it is time to add "learn bass" to this years bucket list.

Space Invaders! Looks to be in fine condition, good score!

Love the pair, cool to see them side by side. :) Thanks for sharing!

Indeed! She is certainly a keeper. She has been quite supportive of all my expensive hobbies. In addition to guitars, I collect Cold War era military firearms and keep exotic giant millipedes. Also still dabble in exotic mantid breeding. And she hates bugs! Still left wondering why she married an entomologist.

Very nice! The 85 two tone headstock logo has always been my favorite for Westone-

Thanks! I never noticed that the logo was 2-toned. I love finding out about minor production changes/variations.

A matched set would be nice! But beggers can't be choosers and the black bass was all there was. I think it was only made in red and black. Has anyone seen the bass in another color?

No chance! These will stay the color they are. However, I was thinking of making a few duplicates of the 6 string. Which would allow me to finish in any color.
