apparently the headstock/tuners on the old Electra Jazz copies are bigger than other Jazz's.

I finally got a hard shell case off eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 7302286275 , and the bass fit it nicely, except the E tuner hits the case... the search continues.....

well, I lucked out at a shop tonight, and got a rectangular shaped jazz case, and the Electra fits perfect. with the contour case, the tuning keys hit the edge of the case. I had the contour case with me, and we tested out a Fender jazz, and it fit the same way in my case, but perfect in the rectangular one...

so looks like my contour one is headed back to eBay....
