I have one of the elusive Electra X910's (Rick Derringer model with 2 modules). It is an either one two or three owner. I bought it off of Ebay. It said it sat in a closet for years. It is used folks. This guitar is in a great used condition. It's rating should probably be....... 8 or 9 out of ten. All original. A few nicks and tears as one that was played at some point,It's a beauty. I might be offering it for sale on ebay if I have no offers here. I want a lot for it. Any takers? x_man0625@yahoo.com

This is indeed a Electra XMAS. first we see 2 of the Leslie West X120 models in a week on the Bay, followed by some other rare EQ models and now we see the ever so elusive X910 to taunt us all into the EGAS fever. I am glad to see so many nice models showing up again out of the closets and collections of others out there. This one will be interesting indeed to watch. Will be watching for pics so Good Luck to all.

This one will be a high dollar one I think. Still awaiting pics. I think a lot means a lot in this case. :bawl:

Normally I would welcome a user to the Forum after their first post... although you've listed a guitar for sale in the main discussion area of the forum, which is a capital offense... and it seems that once you've sold your guitar we probably won't be hearing much from you, so I wont bother. Thanks for giving us the first opportunity to hand over our money to someone we know nothing about, might as well be on CraigsList 'mahn'....

Seriously though, it seems the forum has become a frenzy of buying and speculating lately. I miss the discussions about the actual guitars, reading new information about the SLM offerings and of course viewing photographs of these survivors. Requesting for more meaningful content, and less buy/sell dribble.

+1, and I wonder where X189player is; after all it's his site?

Someone tell me to posts pics of the x910 on this site.. As for the buying selling comment, collectors are drooling for the chance to own one of their own. What's wrong with actually trying to get one into the hands of someone who is actively searching for it? It's been at the luthier's shop getting new strings and in-tonated.

I was thinking that we probably wouldn't see any pics of this guitar 'till it hits eBay....now I'm fairly sure of it PRO.

I realize there are no rules against this type of posting, but I always hope that when folks post an item to sell, that they would give at least a ballpark price to begin with. I personally don't like these "make an offer" things.

Who knows what he wants for it....apparently he didn't tell Jack when he made his offer. How do you do that? "Sorry, that's not enough money....and I won't tell you how much I'd sell it for." "You can make another offer if you want to."

He may not even want to sell it, just getting off a bit on recieving email about it. Or, perhaps he's testing the water to try to get an idea of what amount to open the bidding on eBay with and where to set the reserve.

Heck, I guess if I wanted it.....I would go ahead with my 16,000.00 offer, sight unseen.

Someone over on the ICW site just grabbed a rare Ibanez carved Eagle strat from a neighbor (cheap) and did the same there. Stuck his finger in the water and ran....then listed it on eBay at 4 grand the first run. No takers.....now relisted with a reserve. Who knows what that is, but I strongly suspect that it's much higher than the bidding will reach....I expect more relistings on that.

Here's a peek:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

PS....the owner posted while I was working on my "masterpiece" here. So.....I have to now say that it's a fantasy to assume that collectors are "drooling" over a chance to own this particular 910....or any 910. I'd like to have one, but your approach to selling the one you have is turning me away from buying. And why in the world would you want to take it to a luthier for strings and intonation?

sorry but a pro set up takes less than an hour unless they are actually repairing the thing ie broken neck or something....I wonder if he even has one,or if he dose is he planning on actually selling it WE all know what electras are worth even rare ones.At this point seems best we can hope is that he is stirring things for a sale on ebay

I took it to music shop, where they had a luthier, to get a gig bag for protection during shipping. I cleaned decades of dust off it. The strings were dirty. I decided to let them restring it and intonate it since I don't know how to do intonation. Ernie Ball Super Slinkies were put on. I've got the reciept if anyone wants to see it. There was no repairs done. It is a complete and unbroken guitar.

I am not testing the market. I know what I paid for it. I have to get my money back out of it at least.

I know it's not the greatest gutar in the world. However, this is a missing collection item for more than a few and rarely seen on the market. That in itself makes this a worthy discussion topic in the forum.
