Well, thank you!

It's never to early to name your guitar. And I think I have come up with the best name for a guitar of my life.

The guitar has the famous Led Zeppellin 'Hermit' painted on the back of that from the "Stairway to Heaven" art. Stairway to Heaven is on the album ZOSO (self-titled), and everyone knows the first song on that record -- coupled with the fact that the name of my band is Holy HOUNDS... may I present to you...

"BLACK DOG"

Hahah that's EXACTLY what I'm doing! I'll be taking pics during the entire occasion of opening it.

There are no #'s on this on this guitar at all.

I've never seen a headstock inlay like this, either. Any info on it?

...and, of course, the painting.

All-in-all the guitar is in absolutely AMAZING condition. I have to keep reminding myself that it is from the early-70's, because the condition is that of a brand new LP. It DEFINITELY saw less than 24 hours of use total... pretty dam cherry. Grover tuners are in perfect condition, too. SO excited about this!

I like how it came in a Fender box when it's a Gibson copy.

Thank you all sooo much! It plays like a dream! I've already written two songs on it. BLACK DOG lives!

Still though, any ideas about that headstock inlay?
