Well, I'm glad I won that "Most Electras At The Show" award when the competition was light.

I also dig the framed Electra ad on the left above the fridge.

Here's the question I have: Generally speaking, how many were from Ebay and how many were local? And yes, how long did this take to amass?

Dang...I looked at that picture again. :x

I emailed a copy of that picture to my wife...she's in the living room on her laptop now. That's gonna help me a lot. I'll know when she gets it....I'll hear the scream.

 Kinda expected this reaction.

And yes, I have a bad case of GAS :hyper:

The X910 was modded when I got it, all the MPC wiring had been removed and the pickups replaced. I found a X320 that had been destroyed (sat on by someone's large relative) and salvaged the electronics to restore the Explorer.

Maybe a third of the collection was bought on E-bay before the prices started really climbing. The majority came from guitar shows, local shops and scouring ads in Vintage Guitar magazine.

I've been collecting these for over 25 years, my first was at 14.

Absolutely mind blowing!!!!!!

Electra Heaven - no doubt!!!!!

Congrats on such a great collection - and

BTW -

It appears that JD was on the ball noticing the X910 hanging on the wall in the middle -

Not to mention the 2236 Flying Wedge on the upper right?

Please post more pics of that one - or any of them individually or give a URL or something - please!!!!!

Thanks,
RCSBlues

This kind of reminds me of one of those I-Spy pictures, but I had to at least try to ID the group. I estimate that about 30% of them I'll get wrong, but here goes:

Hanging on Wall:
X930 Charcoal Vulcan
X730 Outlaw
X940 Nat Vulcan?
X935 Blackburst Endorser?
X340 Jacaranda MPC
Modded X220 Omega?

X210 non-Omega
X910 Explorer
X710 Nat Outlaw
X240 Omega
X330 MPC
2259 SG
X310 MPC
X230 Nat Omega
2247 Carved SG
2236 Flying Wedge

Semi Hollows:

X420 Custom Pro
PCM Semi Hollow
2267 Maple Pro
X510 Concert Pro
X410 Jazz Strad

Back Row (ok, semi obstructed view, give me some slack on these!)
Unknown, possible X280 Workingman?
Unknown
Unknown
2264 Zephyr ?
X120 Leslie West
unknown Pearl Phoenix, possible X125
Nat Phoenix
2255 Thinline Tele
X260n Blond Invicta
2275 Nat Strat
2270 Walnut Tele
2245 Super Rock?
2242 Black Rock?
2275 Strat
Dan Armstrong Lucite (whats the model number McB?)
X330 MPC?
Zephyr?
Unknown

Basses:
LongNecker Sunburst
P Bass..?
Sunburst Corsair
Outlaw Bass
2261 SG
X630n
2250 LP

Ok, make that like 45% I'll get wrong! So how'd I do identifying these 52 guitars? What a collection, thanks for sharing, Mike.

Wow, a whole music store or two's worth! Way more than the typical mom and pop shop carried in stock back in the day that a lot of these probably came from originally. Very nice indeed. As others have already spoken, I immediately showed my wife. "See! And you complain about my guitars?" Sadly, it didn't seem to help much.

Makes me remember all the ones I had and sold too since I had to decrease my collection. I miss my Maple Pro for sure.

Again, great collection!
