It's slowly coming together... here it is mocked up while on the bench for a flatting session...

... one or two problems to sort out, and a lot more lacquer to be applied yet, but starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey....

...hanging in the workshop getting its gazillionth coat of clear after yet more flatting....

There's the inevitable small sandthrough, and a bloody nick in it but, at this stage, it's full steam ahead and dam the torpedoes; I just want to finish it and play it now, eh!!

I'm done for now, fellas....

Image

... I just finished wiring it up, plugged it in and "Whacko!!"; away she goes!! Excellent! Now we wait for the neck to settle down before she gets a serious sorting out.

When I cut it back for the final polish, I found I quite liked the semi gloss finish - fitting for a "Swamp thing" - so at the moment it's a semi gloss finish!

I'll post some more if you want with impressions of playability etc. a little later...

Pointies!!!

I just went back to page 1 of this post, and looked through it all to your most recent photos. John, what a great job. You really did it buddy! Looks amazing.

The before and after shots need to be side by side in your post. Wow! :eek2:

8) That really looks great. Looks like new, far better than when you began. Congrats on a fine resurrection for the Swamp Urchin.
