As far as I know the cast metal neck plate was fitted to Westones made before '83. when the stamped neckplate was introduced. I have a cast plate on my '82 Concord I and a stamped plate on my '84 Concord I. (By the way the '82 is the better guitar, IMHO.)
You can see the old style plate (all be it with a strap buttom screwed though it) fitted to a Raider in the 83-4 catalogue to be found elsewhere on this site. I think by the time the catalouge photos were being taken the factory were using up the last of the old stock.

long gone. i got it on ebay by itself. if somebody needs this neckplate to restore their guitar, just shout, it's yours.
