I have a blood relative of the X-155 in the form of an X189 which is the stuff.
One of my fave guitars with pickups that can do anything.

Is your 2249 related to the Super Rock 2249 by Electra?

That is really something to behold.

How many switches? If one, probably a coil tap. if two, either a coil tap and phase reverse or else seperate coil taps for each pickup. If three, then probably all the above.

a phase switch is recognizable because it only has an effect when both pickps are selected. or if you look under the cover at the wiring, it is wired with an X-shape across the DPDT switch, wheras a coil tap is wired with a simple on-off swich from ground to the pickup's third wire.

I've got one of these, and I absolutely love it. One of the tuning pegs recently broke though, and it seems to be of a unique size...does anyone have any ideas on where to find replacement parts for Electra 2249's? The last thing I want to do is drill new holes in it.

Thanks all.

Hey, thechimp:

I probably have an Electra tuner that matches yours. I always switch mine out with Planet Waves when I get a new one. If you send me a photo, I'll let you know.
