so i was at the local musicgoround today. i was talking to my friend that works there and (as i have developed a reputation for buying cheap old junk) she told me there was a guitar there that i might be interested in. so we go in the back room and there is an electra westone flying v type thing. it was missing one humbucker and one single coil, but there was still one of the original mmk 45 pickups in it (nailed in with no pickup ring of course). and the price? fifteen dollars. as ugly as it was, i couldnt pass it up. was also another guitar behind the desk. turned out to be a 1986 gibson sg special.....for $250......the catch? the headstock had been snapped off and glued back on....as bad as it looked, it played and sounded great.....and i once again made my seemingly weekly trip to the atm (yeah....750 dollars in the last three weeks....an ampeg 4x12 and a 78 ibanez pf-100 plus the sg and theelectra...and some vintage silvertone archtopthat was warped out of control, but had a bridge that i could use to fix my sixty something or other eko electric archtop) and spent more money....but anyway...i had to wait on the tech to setup the sg...so as he was doing that i fixed up the electra to the point where it was strung up and tried it out.......and amazingly enough, it still worked (didnt sound as near as goos as the gibson, but still......

Well aren't we the "Cat's Meow" (lucky big kahuna) today.
You done very good son. You were on the J.O.B. for sure.

I say bless you child. Do it while you can do it to it.

When you get a chance could you post some pics of the Electra and
the SG showing the crack, and whatever else you want to "show and tell".

I think you got a Dynasty because it comes with H/S/H pickups and you
mention a single coil is missing. Hopefully the excellent electronics are intact.

The Flying Wedge 2236 comes with H/H config.

Wow! what a great guitar! That has to be the best score ever, fir the price.

Now you just need some MMK 45's. I believe there are a pair on ebay now.
