I've had a productive week off and have posted a few more videos on youtube and wanted to list them so you guys can take a look and make fun of me...

2256 Jacaranda Prototype video, cool little guitar, that really is quite expressive considering it only has the three pickup tones :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVnM2Zfg ... er&list=UL

Redeye's super clean XV3GR Dynasty, can't get to all the sounds even in this marathon clip, if you haven't thought about a H/S/H Electra before, you will after hearing this guy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNGzgokN ... er&list=UL

X935cs Endorser Video, with all the hoopla about other rare Electra models out there, I keep coming back to the guitar that drew me in in the first place, the Cherry Sunburst Endorser:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3odEjmKM ... er&list=UL

X120 Leslie West MPC guitar and MPC Demo, had some people asking for MPC info and demonstration, so I threw this short clip together:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDZyblN5 ... er&list=UL

Electra Collection, I know lots of you guys have bigger collections than I do, but well the youtubers love visuals, so here is a quick description of the Electra's I had on hand at the moment, only a couple missing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUSUijyH ... er&list=UL

I know there is some way to imbed a video into a post, but somebody will have to show me how to do that sometime. Well laugh away guys, and if you have Electra Videos that you've uploaded or just come across, please add them to this thread. Cheers, Mike.

Super Sweet!

Unfortunately though, we will all probably have to pay even more for Electras now thanks to these awesome demos of some spectacular guitars.

Welcome aboard Nick, liked the video, and these Electra's have got to be pretty rare in the UK, thanks for keeping the faith.

The video with all the snapshots was cool, thanks for sharing Vid. I'm almost afraid to ask, but wondering if you regret painting the X150? I have three of the 'powered EQ' guitars, and I'm pretty smitten with them. The MPC's are cool and all, but I feel these are woefully underrated guitars. Also, how'd you get your picture so big man? I've got Avatar envy! Cheers, Mike.

Do I regret the paint job? Everyday of my life. Honestly, the paint job is is really, really nice, but yeah I want the stripes back! I would never go thru the hassle of stripping it back down. I know the primer under the top coats is not coming off that ash body without running through a planer. No thanks.

I also regret swapping out the neck PU for a PAF Pro. The Bridge PU (Dual Sound Dimarzio Super Distortion with Coil tap) sounds great, but the PAF Pro is kinda blah. Way too much contrast on the PU's for a single guitar. The MMK45 are still in my possession so maybe one day I will stick the neck back in. The MMK's in the X130 sound amazing so I think that the originals pickups were on par with the Dimarzio.

The active electronics are not really missed. I thought I saved that module but I am afraid it is lost now. I can't remember them being all that great. I used to have an overdrive pedal (dod250) that I used in front of the amps I had. A funny thing is that I could plug headphones into the guitar's jack and get a pretty decent sound for private practice. My parents never really cared if we jammed at the house, so my brothers and our friends always used our amps.

I did stick with the Coil Tap for each Pickup and made a separate volume for each pickup. No tone control though. I can to that fun LP trick with the pickup selector where one volume is off and you can click back and forth. (think rhoads spotlight solo.)

I used photoshop and the instructions from the control panel for the avatar edit "Current image: Maximum dimensions; width: 150 pixels, height: 200 pixels, file size: 6.00 KiB." Just crop the image to that size and save for the web in Photoshop. It took me about 10 minutes to find a color palette and compression scheme to get it down to 6 KB though.

I just posted the video for this group, wish I could have spent more time playing, but these guitars do deserve some explanation. I demo the X250 with its preamp and switch combinations... really just scratch the surface. Played through my Mesa Mark IIb and the new Dean Markley 1x12 Slant cab, here's the link:

Going to throw up a part II of my Collection soon also. Enjoy.
