Both of these arrived needing just a minor setup adjustment. The 18V preamp on the X640 is incredibly HOT. I ended up putting TI flatwounds on it which seemed to tone it down and provide a more P bass thump. It still has an amazing range of tone.

The single P version is a real sweethart New strings, minor adjustments, and I would put it up against ANY MIA Fender or similar precison bass. I'm going to make a vintage pearl pickguard and shield the control cavity ASAP. These darn things have wonderful necks and play great.

I have two other Electras in the works. One is in the process of being refinished and hotrodded, the other is on the way from the Ebay seller. More pics soon

I just snagged the x695 set off the 'bay... both necks and case still together!!!!!

The burst finish on the Phoenix looks great but that flat black pickguard HAS to go. The other X640 I have coming from Ebay is a rear routed P/J variation, no pickguard. I'm looking forward to receiving it.

the 695 set came today. just beautiful. almost mint condition!!! (apart from the missing nut on the fretted neck....)

That's a cool set. I don't play fretless now but if a deal presents itself, I wouldn't mind picking one up. I might build one from Warmoth parts when I get done with my Electra project!!
