Well i'm new here and I'm glad that I've found this site. I was looking for information about my guitar because I knew it has been out of make for quite some time and I just wanted to see what I could find. The model I have is the XV2RD and I've had it for 4 years now. Its an interesting story on how I got my 6 stringed wonder. 4 years I had 2 years experience playing the guitar and I was looking for a new model. I was using an old fender knock off of a student guitar. It has only 1 single coil pick up and I was decent but I was looking for something better. I was starting a band and the guitarist I was playing with has this old guitar which had a kicking body and slick looks. It needed some works. The bridge and lead pick up needed to be replaced and so did the knobs. Well I recieved the guitar as a gift. I couldn't be happier. As soon as I got it I went and got a Seymour Duncan "Great White Snarks" to replace the lead pick up. I replaced the knobs with 3 position switches for each pick-up, and routed the pick-ups to one volume knob and polished it up. I pluged it in and it sounded great. I was so stoked that I got a great guitar for free (minus the cost of the pick-up and misc. hardware.) I just wanted to stop buy and post the story because you all seem to be enthusiast for this brand. Its just a shame that they are not being made anymore. Any way thanks for the time:)
