I just got what I think is an X650 Phoenix bass. Its got p/j pickups, 1 V 1treble and 1bass pot (I think). It also has a phase switch. Electronics are passive. The neck is maple with a brass nut, elephant style tuners and 20 frets. The serial number is stamped on the back and begins "30". I assume its an 83?

The finish a dark blue sparkle. The finish in front is fair, on the back is rough and the neck finish has been stripped. The head is the funky Phoenix shape in black with "Phoenix by Electra" in gold with a red Phoenix bird logo. The hardware originaly was black but it now has chrome sadles. It neads a set up and new strings but I think I did well at $80

If someone gives me instructions, and anyone is interseted, I will post some pics. I am considering a refinish but like the blue sparkle.

Congrratulations! And that was a great price! Do you have pics?

The blue sparkle might be a pretty rare color for that bass, I've never seen an X650 that color myself.

I can take pics if someone can tell me how to post them.
