New to the forum, so just wanted to introduce with an Electra related topic. I used to own a beautiful LP copy that I later sold that I need help identifying. So for the backstory: When I was a sophomore in high school in Maryland (25 now), the school bus always passed by this pawnshop on the way home. One day, I glanced a flametop LP in the window, thus, as soon as I got home, hopped on the city bus to the pawn shop.

Behold, an Electra, which I'd never heard of. But the quality looked stellar, and I could tell it was from the golden age of Japanese copies, so I put it on layaway. The price was $200!

It was a bolt-on LP copy with a really flamed top, faded honeyburst, with clear pickguard, chrome covered neck pup, rectangular white bridge pup with the square poles on one coil. Wave headstock, peace logo, top and neck binding, gold barrel knobs. Standard LP control layout with 3-way switch, 4 knobs.

I loved this guitar, learned to play lead on it to Yardbirds records. A year or so later, got a real Gibson LP. Then a few years later, I'm not playing it as much, so I decide to Ebay it, seeing as how I have a "Real LP". Missed it ever since.

So the question is, what's the model and specs on this? Also, does anyone have one for sale? Thanks!

I'd guess it was a 2245 though it could have been an X110. Note that the 2245 started out as a cherry sunburst but by 77 had morphed into a more antique honey sunburst. If we had more example photos we could probably figure out when the transition happened.

The gold knobs make me think 2245. Here's both:

Yeah, I took a better look and realize it's probably a 2245. See above.

Yeah, it sounds like it was a 2245. It was such a great guitar, and I regret selling it. Anyone have one in good condition they'd part with? There's a knackered one on Ebay right now from somone on this forum, but it's a bit too beat for me.
