I have two electras...my serial numbers dont match any of those i have seen on the web sites. These are the numbers that are in gold (not stamped) at the top/back of the head of the neck, 3052165 and 3062421. Can any one help me with this?

Hey thanks for the answer and links. I have a cherry cherry like your twins. The other I'll post a pic and see what it might be. So are the last 4 digits the model number? If so they still don't match the web the numbers on the web sites I have visited. OK I just now see they may be production numbers. So I am considering selling my electras and need a ball park on the price. I know this is a tough question to answer but a starting point would be helpful. And now I see after reading the links that 300 bills might be a good start. Well, I am without a clue as to how to post a photo.

I like to have the Forum host the pics, so in theory they will always be 'live' and available, but as I understand it, there are lots of hosting options around.

The last four digits of the serial number refer to either monthly or yearly consecutive production figures, NOT model numbers. Some of the late '70 early '80 guitars do have the model number hand written onto a foil sticker on the back of the headstock, by the end of the Electra 'Dynasty' they had stopped that practice.

I'm sure some of the people on the Forum would offer you fair money for your guitars and possibly save you some listing fees. If your Cherry Sunburst is original and unmolested, I'll offer you $500 to start!! (wink wink). Take care, Mike.
