I got my Electra from a hole in the wall pawn shop in Amarillo Texas for $35. There was nothing wrong with it except for 2 nicks and no whammy bar(now in desperate search for). I just figured it was a cheap pos guitar, but cheap for my first guitar(and i liked the way it looked). Well I am proud to say that I stand corrected. I absolutley love this guitar. Many of my friends play Fender Strats, but I just can't part with my Electra. I am now looking to expand my Electra collection. Thats how much they have impressed me. Its amazing to think that a $35 purchase almost 10 years ago has turned into my best one ever.

Now I just have a quick question.... I think the model I have is the metallic olive green. (I know its not blue or white any way), so my question is.... Is the metallic olive green a rare model???

Thank you for the awesome site and the chance to ask questions in the forum.

Thanks again

lovemyx165 :D

I got mine for 20 bucks, but mine needed wire repairs. Good score.
I do think that the green has become rarer, lemme check on that.

Nice pics to both of you.
The X165 looks almost graphite in color. It may just be me though.

Definitely RCS. Amarillo is my home town, lived there for 24 of my 25 years. Planning a trip back pretty soon!!
