Been waiting for this one awhile but I must say, the wait
was really worth it. She's a beaut!

Here's the pics during the checking in process.

Image

The case was in perfect like new condition, that's a first...

Image

But when we opened it big smile crossed both my wife's and my face :hyper:

Image

She is in mint condition, really looks as if she was never played, no
marks, scratches or rubs of any kind anywhere on the guitar.

Image

So here's the rest of the series of photos I took while I was bringing her into
the family

I wonder how many of these were made? Anyone know?

I'll lite her up later today to see how she sounds and will report

That's pretty dern clean man. They should have kept that logo... but truth be told, I don't even know if this was a SLM product or not? What's the deal with the nut, is it a twelve string nut? It looks like it has multiple grooves. How much does it weigh? I've never seen production totals (or claims...) for any model, and this being such an early offering would make it even that much less likely that records were kept. Play some Stones through it loudly, Mike.

It weighs in at a hefty 9 pounds 9 ounces - no surprise there :o

I have no idea what's up with the nut. The guitar plays fine, no buzzes, bends fine. I probably won't change it out but then again...

Its got electronic's issues. Scratchy volume knob and the treble position on the three way doesn't work at all so its got to see the git doctor anyway.

Other than that, she is really, really clean. In the pics it looks like there are some brillo-scratches but that's just a trick of the flash (its raining today so I couldn't take it outside for natural lighting - I'll get around to that on the whole family).

8) That is indeed a unique find and in awesome shape. I have never seen or heard one so maybe a sound clip if you can would be great. Congrats on another great find.

Very nice! Does it sound overly bright?

the knobs on that help contribute to the weight. I have a spare knob, and it's HEAVY!

Is there a bass version?
(With the Eelctra name, I mean. I know Ampeg made one.)
