It's an X175JB Electra Phoenix project! Two broken ones actually, from which you can make one good one! This is a project guitar, what you see is what you get.

This is a case of a perfectly good guitar ruined by another idjit owner, who decided that the original black finish would be much less cool than paitning it with latex faux stone, the kind that's bumpy and textured like cheap powder-coated lawn furniture.

I tried playing it that way and it was awful, like wearing a shirt with ants in it. So... I started chipping off the latex, and tried latex paint remover. Progress was slow, and it was clear they'd scuffed the original black paint up good to get the latex to stick. So at this point I'd call this body totalled.

Fortunately I have another body from the same model, mostly intact except for a chunk sawed out by the bridge (it would be easy to glue a block of wood in there and paint it black, or just cover the hole with a piece of pickguard material.)

I think you could get this guitar back together pretty easily with not much more than a screwdriver. And I included a second neck to go along with the extra body, maybe you could dunk the whole think in yelllow paint and make an art project out of it or something.

And there's the catch- you have to promise to give this thing a good home, and put it back together instead of parting it out. There's some music still to be had with this one!

If you register once you're in for everything! PM pRoEndorser.

I'd just bring both of them back.
If the latex is the only issue, I could care less so long as I can play it. I'd put the good Electra electronics in the Black one and get fresh ones ofr the latex monster so both can be saved. I have a few PRS trems to use too for a bit of flash. :D
The other one looks like it was not butchered (looks like a clean routing), maybe you could fit a floyd in there?

This would be great because my Buddy has wanted a Phoenix since i showed him mine, he could have the good black one.
I'd take the latex one.

These are perfect!

Mate, if you have a spare tek-glide, put word out, several collectors (maybe me) could put it to use. I believe jbyear has an X165 he needs a tek-glide for.

Yeah, I've thought about it but I'm trying to figure out a way of fixing it and putting back in the X195 and I may, just may, have nutted out a fix! It's made hard by the fact that it's made from pot metal, but boy, what a bridge - that trem block weighs like 4 times as much as the Wilkinson that's in there at the moment!
When I've stopped moving around and have my beloved matts with me again, that is the first job on the agenda...

SLMguy was the guy with the guts to tackle this project, he received them safely and here he is with the (soon to be?) resurrected duo:

Black one doesn't look too bad, here's the two again:

And here's his other guitars, a Beautiful X310 with the rare 'cutout' headstock, and a clean tele thinline with script logo, that he should really tell people what he paid for it (Ironic, yes):

Good luck, and make sure you take some 'after' pictures once they're whole again. Serving suggestion: tele reissue pickup in neck, seymore duncan 'duck bucker' in bridge, with a Batman logo in yellow!! (do whatever you like man)

Ok, I got the white stone latex paint off the X-175 body. I tried it with out stripper and it came off pretty easy. I used a fairly rounded edge scraper on the corners and bevels and a thin flat razor scraper on the flat surfaces. I took before and after pics and will try to post soon.
I also found some maple to plug the trem cut out on the other. The missing pick up mounting plates wouldnt be hard to make but do any of you guys know if an after market matching metal mounting plates can be found and where?
