SLMguy has a sweet little Tele, and he has got to show the original ad and what he paid for his, I think at a pawn shop..? it's a great story! Doesn't Paul have like three of them? How late were they available, are they even in the '77 catalog? (I guess I could go look)

The add you spoke of is on the site at the 2255 model url, the fender website has the original 72' Telecaster Thin Line model photos. Except for the string trees and the truss rod location, the match is pretty close.

My wife has an aunt who has a consinment store near here and I picked this up for 136.00. About what the add listed it for way back when. When I first saw it the natural finish caught my eye first, then the F hole, humbuckers, pearloid pick guard, maple finger board and then the Electra logo jumped out at the top. Sold! And it came with the original hard shell case with an Electra bumper sticker on it, pick, cable and stand. The one in the model index is not mine. The neck plate has 2255WC on mine. The WC has a meaning I think, maybe on the humbucker models. You can see mine in the X175 giveaway thread along with my X310.

This guitar plays so easy and the finish is one of those you just have to see it up close. I have not found it in any catalog on this site. The Kasuga neck photo of McB's is a dead ringer though. Something else about it is it has a strat style string through body bridge. And this thing is so light, you wonder if your strap is on. I,ve heard they were pretty common but have only saw mine and the one on the model index.
