8) This is the update as promised. I rcvd the Vantage Acoustic/electric 12 string back from the Luthier today. It had to have the entire truss rod replaced and that was way out of my skill level. The neck had to be steamed and unglued in order to get the new truss rod in place then re-assembled and glued. the old truss rod ends were stripped out and would not hold in place. The luthier did a great job and now the action is normal(if a 12 string has normal action that is). It plays and sounds very well in acoustic as well as electric modes. The pickup has a nice clean sound and the control electronics give a good tonal range with the volume, Bass, Mid, and treble. The action is now correct and normal when tuned to standard tuning and the neck is clean and straight. Intonation is good and she plays well. It is the perfect partner for my Alvarez acoustic electric and from these photos even though 12+ yrs seperate them the two show to be almost identical in size, body style and construction. Indeed both are very well constructed and look great as well as sound great. Take a look and compare and please express your opinions. I am again thankfull for the gift of the Vantage and for all that everyone did to make the Electrafest a success.

Very nice. Glad it worked out. There are so many people who claim to know how to work on guitars and so few who do. Glad you found a good one; that was not a simple job.

Very very nice. I played with that guitar a little bit. It sounded good. Im glad you made the investment in the repair.
