Hey Guys-I need to draw on your infinite well of knowledge -I just picked up a 2259 with the bigsby style tremolo,but the bridge is a standard lp style with the angled saddle blocks-shouldn't that be a roller bridge? I haven't found any close enough pics to see if this is factory or has been changed,seems to be a recipe for disaster after a couple of dives.

I don't know about this model but Electra did make Bigsby style trems with regular TOM. Remember that they were not designed for dives but rather for a tremelo like sound. You could always replace it with a roller bridge if it becomes a problem.

I'd agree. It was pretty common to run a regular tune-o-matic with a bigsby in the old days, recipe for failure indeed. Label and store the original bridge (in the case if you have it) and fit a modern roller bridge - even if you aren't dive bombing, it really helps with the bends.
