Hey, I'm new to Electra guitars and to the forum and I've tried researching my question to no avail. I bought a X-230 recently and it has a black pickguard. All the X230's I've seen pics. of have clear pickguards. Were clear pickguards original equipment?

Hello....and welcome to the Electra forums. I love those 230s....beautiful instruments. All I've ever seen with the guards still on have been clear, and the catalog pic indicates that it is original equipment.
