Hey guys! My band had a gig last Friday, and my dad came out to take a bunch of pictures. I filled in on bass for the first act with my Westone Spectrum GT, and pulled out the Phoenix when my band got on stage. Figured you guys would like to have a look! Oh, and this website it almost certainly not dial-up friendly, so if you aren't on broadband you might have to pass. I don't know how to post pictures from this site into the forum, unfortunately.

Looks like everyone had fun. Nice looking Bass. I like that color but they are a bit harder to find so i have a natural finish in the same Bass. Keep on Rockin

Had another gig tonight, dad took more pictures. Only used the Spectrum this time, but it's basically a Phoenix anyway. It's too bad the cameras weren't able to do low light pictures, the place was mostly lit with blacklights and the clear coat on the spectrum made it GLOW a bright greenish white. Anyways, here's the link:

And don't worry, nowhere near as many pictures as last time.

8) Looks like that was a fun gig. I have a blast everytime my sons band gigs as my sons main axe is his outlaw, and they also use several of my Electra guitars and Basses. This always draws a response as everyone wants to know what kind of guitars and Basses these are as they sound and look great. I am slowly finding new Electra fans and having a great time introducing old style quality to the newer generations. Rock On 8)

I tend to use my Spectrum a lot because it was already pretty beat up when I bought it. My Phoenix X640 is my favorite and what I will record with, but it's in nice condition and I don't want to bang it up. I'd really like a more road worn X640 so I don't feel bad about gigging it and adding a ding or two. As for the gig itself, it was definitely our best show to date, we nailed every song and one of the other bands expressed interest in playing with us again. Hopefully at some point we can get some recordings for me to share, our vocalist/main songwriter has some basic recording equipment.

Oh, and that funky looking guitar he's using is mine as well, it's a neat, cheap Yamaha that plays surprisingly well for having only cost me $80! Thinking about it, we were all using cheap instruments. My Spectrum only cost $50, and I think the rhythm guitarist only paid $40ish for his Peavey Strat copy. The sound was phenomenal though. Very happy with it! :D
