This one is phenominal in it's look, playability and sound. It is early open book headstock model but is a rarer solid body SG set neck version. Has the awesome maple neck and vine inlay as well as the carved vine inlay top. This is a great player and sounds very nice. Easy to play as weight is about same as the other Gi##$%N model SG's. Balance is great and tone for days but will also get that nasty growl when you want it. I was lucky enough to score this one and it was well worth the wait it took to find it.

I saw one of those hanging in the music store 25 years ago and just could not swing the bucks. Been kicking my self ever since.

I am as they say reaping what I have sowed. On some of these guys I had inquired long ago and multiple times with no luck. I guess with times as they are that persistence seems to pay off. I do not bug or hassle the owners but I do keep in touch after initial contact. Some of the time I just get lucky as they they contact me. In more than one instance they contact me when they get ready to part with one as they know I will give it a good home or find someone that will. I am very fortunate to have found this one indeed. Thanks for all the comments and remember it will be available to check out at the 2012 eletrafest for certain.
