Hello from Seminole, OK. I just joined after finding a '74? model 2257 at a pawn. They had it marked at $69. After scoping info online, I went back and scored it for an adoption fee of $50. As near as I can tell, it needs new binding, re-glue body seam, probably a set of tuners unless I can find a knob, and the bridge and tailpiece are pitted. Also needs a clear PG. Here's pics...

I missed out one one of these earlier this year on an out of state CL entry by roughly 6 hours time.

Good luck on the resto.

Very nice. Love the headstock detail and the natural body and neck with inlay. I would think a matching key, screw and washer would not be that hard to come by.

Great score for $50. Some of that runny super glue and a few clamps should take care of the body. Binding is harder to match color. Real nice looking torch inlay and dual mini humbuckers - What's not to like? Very nice grab for your first Electra! Welcome.

Welcome and great find. Thats one of my favorite models. The script matches my 2255.

Well congrats on an excellent score. Youi picked a great one to start with and you will love those pickups. it is a bit heavy but sound more than makes up for the weight. This model has some of the nicest fret inlays(colors) of any of my Electra models and you gotta love the torch logo. Welcome to the Electra Forums and watch out for Egas as it leads to more Electras.

Copy that M120: on the Egas. I really don't need anymore GAS of any kind to go with my Strat/Squier 51/KWS gear Gas for sure.
