Mike, did you buy that one off of CL that was in the Metro Detroit area?

I'm not sure you'd call 32 mile metro Detroit! But, yeah I picked it up after unsuccessfully haggling with the guy. I'm giving Arthur first refusal on it, he seems intrigued. It's too bad he can't make it to EF2012, because the shipping is getting laborious, and I'm running low on boxes! These two basses are so similar, made within a couple days of each other, similar wear, etc, but they play/sound a lot different. I'm going to keep the one I bought from Mick, even though the new one plays a little better. Mike.

If 32 Mile road went further West it would run into my town and I call that Metro Detroit! Did you have to purchase the amp head or cabinet with the bass?

The new one has better action and weighs a half pound less than the one I already had, but I like the way the 'old' one sounds, so that's the one that I'll keep and record with. It's a luxury to have two basically identical examples, but that's where the fun begins and you can compare and find out the differences. Buying online is always a cr@p shoot with weight, neck shape, etc, I wish the prices reflected that, there is so much you don't find out until you can hold it in your hands, Mike.
