Hey guys I just found this website and joined the forum last night... Well I was looking at my serials and could not really find anything like what I have on my X320. It has a gold sticker with the #60798 on it, this doesn't look like anything I see on this site. It looks just like the ones in the model photos and appears to be all original except for one strap holder. Anyone have any info on this type of serial? Thanks a lot guys!!

It's the wave, the label is just a plain rectangle that is gold and the number printed in black. I looked around on the forum and found someone else had these type serials as well, here is the link http://www.rivercityamps.com/electraforum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3706&hilit=serial+numbers. The difference is the amount of digits, on the link there are 7 digits and mine has 5 digits.

Does this make it an older one? Maybe a transition label in 76-77 when they went to the wave from that cutout deal in between the open book and wave headstock? A different MIJ company? I have no idea, I'm just grasping here. I do know that it sounds better, I mean a lot better than my other two X LP models (and they sound really good!)
Thanks for the input guys!!

My MPC models X330 and X340 (1977) each have a foil sticker on the back (center) of the headstock - with 5 digit serial numbers.
