I know TomP has talked about Kasuga making some of the guitars and I was grabbing some pics off an auction when I noticed the last picture for this transitional Corsair bass...

This one has an odd construction of the neck being bolted and glued to make up for the weakness created by the pickup route.

I've seen several examples of the Electras now like this, and based on the features, it always seemd like a "filler" run between when the Corsair switched from bolt necks to neck thrus which started in the '77 catalog... so it was assumed it was available in '76...

The only other faker I've seen with this type of construction was a house branded Kasuga one, hence the belief it was Kasuga made...

the last pic of the auction show the neck plate with a "J76..." serial number

I wonder if the "J..." s/n on other models is reliable enough to deem it a Kasuga made item?

Aren't some of the Fujigen ones "A..."?

Is it all just wishful thinking? :-?
