Just to update my previous post about recently purchasing another Electra bass. This bass is in INCREDIBLE condition. The seller said it had DiMArzio P/U's, but after disassembling and inspecting they are not Dimarzios. The sticker was distorted but was a generic name. As was the fact that the covers were glued on told me they were most likely original. They were VERY hot, but a little too muddy for my taste. Now, the pick guard had some bowing in it which drives my nuts. I took the bass to my local luthier (David Wallace) and he is currently making a new pick guard for me. I am debating on the electronics swap, but leaning toward Lindy 8% over, or EMG classic P. I will have it complete and back together in a week or two and will post updated pics.
