Tried out my "new" Thorny modded Overdrive module last night. Quick review.

Short story, it's like everyone says. It's what the overdrive should've been. :D This review is vs. the stock overdrive module. Thorny's mod makes the effect a little hotter, a little fuzzy, more thick, great for kicking it up a notch for a solo. It's a little noisier but not much. Since it's hotter it gives the guitar a different feel, more sensitive. Sounds good on clean channel but I liked it best on the overdrive channel of my amp, it kicked it up a gear which sounded great. It's not a slamming difference over stock, just a nice noticeable shift upwards. Great job.

If anyone uses their overdrive mods, I'd recommend getting a Thorny mod.

Well, typically, no one uses them at all unless they are Thorny mods ;)

Yuh huh.

Let's spell it out : EVERYONE who has a Thorny POD agrees that it is an excellent upgrade.
Bottom line - if you have a POD - GET IT MODDED ASAP!!!

I've got my first Electra MPC in many years on it's way to me and the first PM I sent was to Thorny for a power OD Thornyized module. I've had a couple over the years and would never consider an MPC guitar without one! What's the POD mod you speak of?

Thanks SLMGUY, I've never really left, just went into sleep more...LOL. Jead, that's what I figured, but I use a Line 6 POD too...so you really got my attention  Thorny's POD mod is killer, reminds me of an old favourite, Electro Harmonix LPB-1 from the 70's.
