Hello everybody. I'm new to the forum and I am looking for info regarding an Electra ES-335 Model 2227 with a whammy bar. I am trying to date the guitar as best I can. By what I've been able to find it looks like this guitar started production in 1972 and I bought the guitar in 1978 and I know the guitar at that time was at least a year old but I'd like to date the guitar a little more precise if possible. Any information on this guitar would be greatly appreciated. Any info on the stock pickups would be nice too. I very much appreciate being able to be part of a forum like this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Some of the other forum members have some of the catalogs that are not on the old Electra page. They might be able to lock down a better range. The 2227 is in the first catalog from 1972 and is gone by the 1977 catalog.
