There's an Electra marauder at Guitar Maniacs in Tacoma WA. It's black and has the "moon landing" font on the headstock. $695. Pcm?

Interesting indeed but need a closer look se to determine. I have never seen a Marauder style electra but the neck pickup looks very much like the one on the Flying Wedge models but could not see the headstock well. I would think maybe PCM but need more info.

The logo looks like one I'd associate with PCM rather than SLM. I have never seen one in person though or any literature on it as a model that was offered.

Wow. They would copy ANYthing-- even one of the most unloved Gibsons ever!

yeah, I tend to agree. Do I pay $695 for the PCM Electra copy or about the same for a real Gibson from that time frame? Not a hard choice for me, I likely wouldn't want either one.

Still I appreciate seeing it, never seen one before that I can recall. I'd even like to play one, but I am curious to understand if I am missing something when I dismiss different looking instruments. After all, there was a time when I dismissed the phoenixes because they were "different" and now I think they are awesome. Still, I am going to pass on this one. My experimentation budget is gone for the time being.
