There's one for sale for $420. I have an x185 and love the sound. Of course I wanna buy every Electra model but if the x145 doesn't blow away the 185 (hsh) then I think I'll pass on it. Price seems a $100 too high but you know, its only money....I would play it first but its a pretty far drive. Plus I love to hear yalls enthusiastic input!

I saw that one on CL, and you are correct. It is way overpriced. Even with the rarity of the anniversary issue, these should not be priced higher than $250.00-300.00 to sell.

I do not have any of the x145's, but maybe you can PM member JackBaruth. He owns several of these (most likely more than Any other member) and he can give you good insights into these.

The x145 should sound much different than your x185 because of the pickup configuration (S-S-S for the x145 and H-S-H for the x185).

8) I have one and I like it very much. If you are a single coil fan then you will find this model very interesting as it offers such tonal variations over the HSH setup. This one is overpriced so make him an offer.

The X145 does the pure Strat sound and it does it better than an X185. For a couple reasons, including the strength of all the magnets pulling on the strings, the X185 doesn't have quite the "quack" than an X145 has.

Necks on most X145s are thicker, more like a vintage Strat.

I'm usually a buyer on Anniversary editions. Where's it for sale?

I went with this super rad x140 natural off CL Seattle for $75. That's my dickey betz next to it.

The x145 is at tommysguitars.com in Everett, WA.

Can't go wrong with an X-140! Still the guitar to which I compare every one I buy, and also the reason I ended up selling my Gibson Explorer after only 4 days.

The strings are really old and black and it still sounds awesome. I love this thing
