I picked up this cool SG recently on eBay, not sure if any other members saw it, but when I noticed the Factory StopTail bridge, well I had to have it! I've been keeping an eye out for about five years for a open book headstock version without the faux Bigsby, didn't even know if they made one, and I was understandably excited when this guy showed up. Thanks to Thorny for giving me the nerve to wax the pickup, turned out great. Check out the video and tell me what you think. Cheers, Mike.

Glad your were able to be the top bidder on that one that we talked about. I hope you didn't have to break the piggie bank too much.

Hey, that turned out nicely - and I always liked your boogie better than any other old mesa I have heard... And I am a real amp snob - I ought to be, I work on so many. I love keeping guitars original, but I like playing them more :P Well done.

If you are experimental, you can do a "light" potting of the neck pickup - a dunk and let the wax get in, but not let it bake for as long. That *may* get you a little more controllable feedback without making it lose as much high end fidelity from the potting. It is all a bit experimental and varies.
