Image. Scored this off eBay last week. I was the only bidder which I found shocking. Anyway it's an amazing instrument. I knew I'd like it but I really like it

I saw that one listed, and think you got a good price. Check the serial number and say hello to its brothers here:

I almost made a bid, but I already have some nice examples. The one in the middle is just two numbers away from yours, and the one I play live. Cheers, Mike.

Mike, yes 2089! That's very cool! The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the box was how light weight it was. I was expecting a tank. It's much lighter than my x930 Betz. Man the single coil mode sounds great too. Not thin and lacking substance. I've never seen or played an Endorser but seeing the videos and reading about em I knew it was the guitar for me and boy was I right. It makes me play better and the intonation is near perfection!

I need a case though. Would any les Paul case work?

Yes a LP case will work fine.

Thats cool how the numbers are so close. Good looking guitar and love the amp. Electra and old school Yamaha sound pretty good together.

I just gotta say, comparing the fit and finish AND sound and feel, it's a very close race between the Endorser and the dot neck Vulcan. They are almost the same design but they are polar opposites when it comes to the way I play them. They both make me play better. They demand that I try a little harder.

Both guitars measure the same in every way except the betts' bridge angle is about an eighth off and the endorser is like a sixteenth off. The betts has a metal sustainer plate under the bridge while the endorser does not. The betts has no belly cut (jan 82). Endorser does (may 83). Endorser has the mmk's and the betts super magnums. Maybe has something to do with the mpc stuff. They both sound awesome but very different in single coil mode especially. Id say the endorser wins that fight but couldnt pick one over the other just yet....but why should i? Differences aside, id say the betts is an endorser with mpc's. Btw thanks for the great guitar JMM!

Forgot to mention there is no out of phase switch on the Betts, or push/pulls. Fine with me...

Congrats on scoring one. Aren't they amazing? Such wonderful quality and great sound, does yours have MMK53's (I don't remember if you said)?

Thanks for the differences between the Betts and X935.

Different dot inlays too - the Bets has the normal sized ones, the Endorser has the small matsumoku dots.
