If I recall correctly, Dana had a 63 Strat that he loved. He is the luthier and designer who made the Westone Dana's and later the Alvarez Dana (and the famous Dana Scoop). He told me that he patterned the neck of the Westone Dana after the 63 Strat neck. I love the neck on my Westone Dana, so the 63 strats may have had a bit of magic in them!

Have you done a side by side comparison of your Electra LP's to your Gibby 68 LP?

No, I've never thought of it. I'll have to pick up a few of the Electra LP's and plug them in and see how they sound and play compared to my Goldtop. Good idea.
