Ultra - Seller was in MS.

I'd buy it was an employee guitar, but still would love to know for sure. Regardless, I'm very happy with it, and no plans to flip it. This thing plays as well as any I've played. It is my first semi hollow guitar (and I have owned a ton of guitars) and wonder why I've never looked into getting one before till now. It's in my top 3 guitars at the moment.

I bought an Elvin Bishop model not so long ago - and bingo! Right into the top 3 after about 5 minutes. I'm not even certain it's an Uncle Mat build but boy is it solid plays, sounds. looks are all way above average. :) The Electra brand sure had some winners with their hollow bodies.

I'd agree as well. The more I play my x420, the more I appreciate it. It is really a versatile instrument and plays very nicely.

X4xx - Likely Made by Terada

The Logo is a mystery. It appears to be the AlvareZ logo that did not appear until we transitioned the line much later.

We DID experiment with the Alvarez branding of Electra early on, but they were produced with the double reversed "A" on the headstock in shell and not the decal.

I don't remember even doing a Terada semi with the AlvareZ gold decal even as a one off. By the way, all indicator point to this guitar being made much later than 1977. Serial numbers on these do NOT correspond to a date range as they did at Fuji or Matsumoku. Terada did their own thing and would produce a specific number based on a manufacturer's request.

As to another post . . . yep it's 30 years later and yes, my memory, Jerry Proctor's memory and Tom Kruska's memory is really distorted by now. So, about anything that I say could be questioned!!!!

Been a while since we discussed this very odd, very rare bird. But I'm looking to sell to help finance my guitar building business that I started recently.
Ya get this guitar and you have what no one else in the world has.
