About a year ago a friend of mine gave me his Electra Omega guitar but I've never known the exact model that it is. I just came across one that was sold on eBay that is the the exact model that I have. Can anyone please tell me what I have? I've always assumed it was the 2249, but I could be wrong.

Yep, definitely an X-230 Omega. The giveaway is the 5-way selector, which otherwise only appeared on MPC models (with modules in the back).

Also, 2249's have a rosewood fingerboard. The maple neck and fingerboard on the Omega are really interesting and set it apart as something other than an LP copy. The wiring is great or course, and there are a lot of little details that make it a good guitar- it was Tom Presley's debut as guitar designer with SLM, and also one of the first contracted directly from Matsumoku, so it seems like everybody involved was motivated to do a good job.

Well I should really win the "Douche-of-the-Day" award because my Electra *IS* different than the one I posted pics of. Sorry about that. My brain tends to go to sleep every so often.

She plays and feels like the greatest thing in the world.

You can hear her in two live songs I have on my Myspace page and if you click the link for pics you can see her too. The pics aren't super clear because I screen capped them from a video. When my friend gets home I'll use his digital cam to take some really nice detailed pics of her.

From the two links you sent she looks like EXACTLY like the old style 2249 except she has the peace sign style symbol and a glued on neck. Other than that those pics are my guitar.

That's actually the page I looked at some time ago that led me to believe mine was a 2249.
